Frank Askew

Frank has been playing drums for 29 years. He has played in many local bands such as Buster and Loaded Dice. Frank studied with Roy Huggett and then Kevin at The Drum Garden. He aims to transfer his enthusiasm for drumming to all the students he teaches.

The biggest influence on Frank's drumming career is legendary drummer Carl Palmer of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, with whom he has studied with over the past few years. Frank was co-author of the successful ELP Biography 'The Show That Never Ends'. He also played in the ELP tribute band Works 3, who released a CD entitled 'Reworks'. Their version of Tarkus was selected as the opening track for a tribute triple CD dedicated to ELP and released by Mellow records in 1998. Frank also toured in Japan with ELP in 1996.

Frank runs a company with Carl called Drum Clinics UK that specialises in putting on drum related events.
